Goodbye! Goodbye!

By: Ralph Lamarr Clark

When I caught you
kissing another man
I hit the road,
leaving this
one horse town.

I won't come back,
so don't come
looking for me.

Sugar is sweet,
but what you did
tastes like
salt to me.

Somewhere
up the road,
I'll find a girl
whose lips
are waiting
for mine.

Goodbye, goodbye,
don't come looking
for me

I locked you
out of my life
and threw away
the key.
