Stain of Lies

By: Ava lee D. Stewart

For every prevariation & every lie, you left a stain,
A stain in my now shattered heart, full of pain.
At times I tend to wipe away the blemishes & try to forget
But some reappear, since my consicous still hasn't let go yet.
I question myself as to why I'm being drawn in with your lies.
I couldn't see the real you through your words, through your eyes.
Me believing that you'd never delude or deceit me,
I didn't take the time to think
Will our destined love stay afloat,
Or will it ever sink?

I gave the best of me with every sacrifice that I've made.
Why is it that you can't see the love I've shown & given?
Now that I'm here confronting you on everything you did,
still you deny.
Clearly I see this relationship is at its end...
We can't see eye to eye.
Longing for this time to say that we need to go our separate ways
For I know if I give you my heart again,
Our flower of life won't mature, it will only decay.

Instead of a lie for a lie, I give you truth to even the score.
Your irresponsible ways & unloyal acts, I can't take anymore,
As I send a sincere look with much appreciation
I take a sip of my Champagne.
As I disperse all my INFURIATION & UPROAR of lies you told,
Which on the inside I could no longer sustain.

Now that I'm out our your life, you realize it's too late,
it's your loss that leaves an obscured stain.
Your guilt of losing the one who loved you
Unconditionally, shall and will REMAIN!
