Wish Upon a Star
Tonight I looked up in the sky
And saw a star shining bright
It lit up the sky so wonderfully
Talk about a beautiful sight
I sat there wondering...
Should I wish upon this star tonight?
I try to think of what I want
Ok, Ok, All right...
Star light, star bright
First star I see tonight
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have this wish, I wish tonight
I wish for a man
About 5’10” or so
Black, Brown, Blonde hair?
Eh, who knows?
He must have gorgeous eyes
Blue ones, if that’s not too much to ask
And maybe a nice tan
But, hey, that’s not that important, relax
His body doesn’t have to be perfect
I’m not too picky, you see
But I don’t like those body builders
They often tend to scare me
But, I do want someone who will protect me
Keep me safe from all my fears
Someone who will hold me tight
When he sees my eyes filled with tears
I want him to be manly
But have a sensitive side, too
I want him to be able to tell me he loves me
And bring me flowers out of the blue
He has to have a great sense of humor
And laugh at all my corny jokes
But also to be able to come over
And score some brownie points with my folks
I want someone I can connect with
Someone I can reveal my heart and soul to
A guy who will be by my side, forever
I don’t wanna have to find someone new
Is this too much to ask for?
'Cuz there’s nothing else I want, it's true
If there’s any way you can help me out
Maybe just give me some kind of clue
I’m getting a little lonely
So, send him along my way
I need someone to hold in my arms again
Until I have him, I'll just have to pray
I'll sit and pray for this wonderful guy
Who will make all my wishes come true
I’ll finally be happy for the rest of my life
My single days will be through
So, this is the wish
I wish for tonight
I hope one day it will finally come true
