I know I act like I don't care
but, deep inside, I do

almost fall in love with you!
I thought you wouldn't hurt me
but instead you did.
I thought you would never lie
but the truth was always hid.
It's not the first time, anyway,
that my heart has been broken
but what I just don't understand
is how harsh your words were spoken.
So now I lie here thinking
about the things I thought.
