Standards too high
I chased after you.....
despite everyone’s warning.
They said I was crazy, they were right.
Crazy over you.!
They said you could never go for a guy like me.
“She’ll break your heart” they said, “Just wait and see.”
But it was a risk I had to take. Not trying to win you, was
one mistake I was not going to make.
They were right of course, but I’m glad I tried.
You deserve so much better than I.
So now as I sit here broken hearted and cry,
this is what I get for setting my standards so High.
