In Curls and Curves
If I called you beautiful
I would see you smile
And tilt my head to catch your eyes
For maybe they would call me beautiful, too
If I held out a hand to gently hold you
I would read the questions in your wrinkles
And look at your lips -
They may bid me, "tread, but slowly"
All your curls and curves
They call me to wonder
How those heeled feet would feel
Happy to be nestled and cause me to swoon.
