Our mornings are sweet with pancakes and a kiss
but never on the lips,
Afternoon messages to let you know
I am thinking of you,

You tell me about your day
and ask me about mine too,
You ask me what I will fix for dinner
and say that you'll join us for dessert,

I rush everyday to get everything ready,
pick up last minute things to make spaghetti,
Homework, dinner, a quick workout and showers,
there is just not enough hours.

Forget 5, 6, and 7 because its already 8
and I know you'll say it's gotten late.
Too late to wait, too late for cake,
too late my mate...

Everyday I try to move faster and steal some time
but it's all the same...
it's always 8
and that's just too late.
