Words Which Enunciate Ridiculous
I admit wasting time in bed
gets nothing accomplished.
And calling out from work
on mere desire to lie with you longer
is, undoubtedly, foolish.
But in this early morning
we are a vine of tangled limbs
flooded beneath pigments
from the rising sun.
The bedside fan purrs its familiar lullaby
and I am convinced
the entire day has been fulfilled.
