Love's dreams falling like acid rain
that scorches all before it,
while drowning in this sea of life
that holds you tightly bound,
feeling the pressure deep inside your heart
as the grave is slowly filled,
mocking faces look at your bleeding heart
as you try to claw your way out.
In your mind the turmoil twists it’s deadly grip
as it holds you deep inside,
as images of the past, like imps from hell,
flash through your troubled mind.
tortured and beaten till your heart forgets
that it is made to love,
who needs love that cuts the very soul
and leaves the scars to show,
your body soaked in sweat
as your eyes stare into the darkness of life
Love is a bitch, love is cruel
hiding the future, only showing the past,
but still we try, like lemmings
as they race towards the edge,
not knowing what lies ahead
blindfolded from this world of love,
