All Alone
She said, she and his dad weren't in love anymore.
And, the man she loved now... wouldn't open the door.
He heard her say, Son, I've got a new lover.
You'll have to leave, just like your brother.
This man means more to me than you.
Frankly, I don't care what it is you do.
Although, I'm your mother,
I can't love you, your sister, or your brother.
She heard her mother say,
You hate him now, you'll like him someday.
He didn't raise you and love you without asking why.
Daughter, I love him, I'm here to say goodbye.
She had children to care for, yet, seemed to fail them so.
She turned to each of them and said they had to go.
She's happy with her man, living all alone.
And, each of her three children has gone off on their own.
