If Only
If only things are going straight
and promises just don't break.
If only wishes could come true
then my life will never be blue.
If only life is always perfect
and the best things become more than you expect.
If only there is always happiness
then I could never taste life's bitterness.
If only people are so kind
and no man so poor is left behind.
If only time could come back
and erase the past, full of black.
If only the food that nourishes us
can be easily found so fast.
If only everything that's inspiring
makes the world find it's meaning.
If only all stories have happy endings
and every being enjoys wonderful things.
If only...
Inspite of these if's and then's
I've truly realized, through the fence,
God has a reason for everything
to make us see life's meaning.
The world is like a big stage
where everyone of any age
has a part to complete the page.
And then I suddenly thought of you.
What would it be like if I've never met you?
In my will, I may not want to know you
But God found the way to follow me through.
Even though life isn't fair
and fantasy just can't compare,
Now I have known the truth
He gave me a bountiful fruit.
For all the pains and sacrifice
that He gave me several times
I'm really glad to have you in reward
Because you filled a big part of my heart.
You replaced the sufferings I had
and almost made me forget things so sad.
