Sweet Embrace
As day's routine gives way to dreams
Of open sky and crystal streams,
And gazing on your handsome face
While wrapped in nature's sweet embrace.
A forest nest, a southern breeze;
A cozy place beneath the trees.
We'd turn the stars off, one by one
And dream of love that's just begun.
We'd glimpse the years, the future view
And all it held for me and you.
So many years, another chance.
A sweet embrace, like one last dance.
If things could just be as they seem
And sweet embrace, not just a dream;
My heart could learn to smile again.
Just leave me dreaming until then...
