I thought I could do it
But I can’t take anymore
My body has run out of energy
Totally drained
My mind's about to explode
Totally drenched
My heart has hit the ground
And my soul no longer dances
It's as if I’m watching from the outside
These angel wings are lifeless
Tears trickle when no one else sees
Frown has no chance of turning upside down
But that’s not what they see
The charade continues to be played
But my soul no longer dances
The world falls apart
I’m left to rebuild it by myself
No strength left to even pick up all the pieces
Let alone make it perfect again
I give my all
But it’s never enough

Drained of life
Crumpled under obligations
Broken down
Bit by bit
Eaten away to the core
All used up
