Promises
You promise you love me,
you'll take away my fears.
You promise to make me happy,
you'll never bring me tears.
Promises are like dreams,
they don't always last.
Before you find they are lies,
they become a part of your past.
There are always some promises,
you aren't able to keep.
It's like saying forever,
and it only last two weeks.
So, don't make these promises to me,
if you know they aren't true.
It can hurt many people,
and one could be you.
