An Escape
Once surrounded by all that is green,
I now lay shaken,
the blackness over my body consumes me,
all is desolate, dry, decayed,
all because of my one mis-step,
my weakness,
I search desperately for a door to carry me,
back to that place in time,
where all was bright and crisp in the sunlight of my promise,
finally realizing that that exit is non-existant,
my soul shall lay in darkness... indefinately.
