Three decades together
we should have know better
Our love, we took for granted
and words were left unsaid
that could have left enchanted.
this love we felt inside...
not verbalized, the words of love
that could have held us together.
we let time slide by and slowly
we saw that time had passed
and we had slid away from each other.
one after another
the days came and went
and not a love word was spent
that would hold tight the rope
that had bound us with love
at the beginning of our journey.
a journey that ended in good-bye
because we both chose not to try
to help our love survive.
