You are shrouded in mystery
I can't imagine what you hide
Perhaps what you could give to me
Were it I by your side

The way I think, the way you think
Alike, yet not the same
Tell me- do mine grow as yours shrink
Is this a winless game?

If you only knew what I could do
Would you act differently?
I don't know what you go through
Do you think, possibly?

Afraid to ask, afraid to know
Afraid to let true feelings show
Afraid to give, afraid to pay
Afraid of just what you will say

I knew it was impossible
For us to just be friends
My tongue is lame, my mind is full
The thought train never ends

I guess I'm weak, I can't contain

I try but my brain racks with pain
Pack bursting at the seal
