Climbing A Flat Wall
I climbed to the peak of the mountain of happiness,
But I fell right off into the pit of sadness.
I want to climb out, but I can't climb a flat wall.
I need someone to throw me a rope and stop another fall.
My wounds from my fall have healed,
But I can't stay here and let my fate be sealed.
I need to find someone to help,
Because no matter how strong I am I can't do it myself.
I need the life-line that I call love,
To be handed down from up above.
I can't just climb out of hell;
Someone has to pull as well.
Someone has to be willing to give,
To help me out, to help me live.
Someone must comfort me because I'm sure I'll shed tears.
When I get back up, someone please, hold me near.
