A poem for the one I love
This shambled world we live in
Is full of hurt, pain, and dismay,
Yet when I came a'calling,
You didn't run away.
When I first heard your voice,
I instantly fell in love,
All my troubles disappeared,
A light shone from above.
However happy you feel,
I'll feel a lot happier,
I was so close to giving in,
But you are my saviour.
Because of what happened last time,
I was hurt so bad, so fast,
I really hope our relationship
Forever will last.
I love you with all my heart,
I love you with all my soul,
It's not like a game of soccer,
Cause I've already reached the goal.
No matter what else happens,
Remember I'll love you
From now until the end of all,
And that my love is true.
