I thousand prayers can't bring you back,

Wishing on a star can't bring you back,
I know- because I've wished with all my might.
Sitting in the dark hoping can't bring you back,
I know- because I sat and never saw the light.

Old pictures can't bring you back,
I know- because I've looked at them all.
Hearing your voice can't bring you back,
I know- because you never call.

Thinking of all the times we shared can't bring you back,
I know- because I've recalled them all in my mind.
Trying to bring back those feelings you once had for me
can't bring you back,
I know- because those you cannot find.

Nothing will ever bring you back,
That I'll have to see.
