Twisted Reality

By: Kacie Michelle Lawson

Don't know where you are,
and, of course, you haven't called.
Sometimes I start to wonder
if I even have you at all.

You're probably out with your friends
not even thinking about me,
but, as usual, you'll call
somewhere around three.

I sit here in tears
just wanting to hear your voice.
You could see me if you wanted to,
but that's your choice.

You tell me you'll call back,
but you never really do.
When you're gone like this,
I just hope you're being true.
