I remember
the way you looked at me

I remember
how we sat up all night
talking about how it would be

I remember
our first kiss
the way you held my hand

I remember
the first time we broke up
and how I lied
and said, "I understand"

I remember
how I sat and cried
yet it seemed that
throughout those nights of misery
you were always in my dreams

I remember
when I had to move away
and it killed me to say
"I never want to see you again
so stay away"

I remember
the way you came up to me
and in that most depressing time
filled my heart with glee

I remember
seeing a tear fall from your eye
as I said all of my goodbyes
Then one day we met again
And once more you held my hand

Til this day
I haven't told you how I feel
because I know you won't believe
that my feeling are real

Remember...
even though
you broke my heart forever
you are the only one
who could ever possibly
put it back together
