Unicorns

By: kitty kat

With everything turning into sunset myths,
I'm still left trembling in salty rain.
Friends part, and there you are,
standing strong in the middle.
You leave your heart in your smile.
I run through the night, torn and barefoot...
only to touch the unicorns in my dreams,
to feel Venus exhale.
As the dripping night's curtain falls across my palm,
tell me the shadows won't stay for long.
You bend the water upwards,
until it falls back softly,
caressing my eyes until my eyelashes flutter
until they tired and stay.
Tell me not to drink venom wine again,
warn me of this so my dreams will be of Unicorns,
reminiscence of you.
