The War

There's a war going on in my body
A war between my heart and my mind
My mind tells me I hate him
That he doesn't deserve me
That I'm better than him
But the heart knows the truth
The truth that I still love him
Even though he's hurt me
So many many times before
My heart tells my mind
To only remember the good times
I ignore my mind
And listen to my heart
So the war will go on and on
Until I find that one person
That will make peace
Between my heart and my mind
