Whispers in which you cry

By: Susan Patricia Dixon

A whisper unto the night
A soft prayer spoken
Under your breath, you cry
As your heart is breaking

Under stress, you pry
Twisting and turning
As you try to sleep through the night
Whispering and moaning

Under sighs, you speak
Little words of nothing
In which you try to please
Your interactive soul

Damaged tears, which you cry
Falling down from up so high
Cleansing your withered, dryed up heart
Leaving it alive... barely
