Children laughing,
children crying,
one is born,
another is dying,
stop the heartache,
stop the madness,
once tears of joy,
now grief and sadness,
children full of life,
reaching for a star,
bullets are flying,
from a passing car,
a little boy falls,
dropping to the ground,
laying there lifeless,
without any sound,
momma cries out,
calling his name,
an innocent victim,
in this cruel game,
holding him close,
grieving in the street,
puddles of blood,
forming at her feet,
a lifeless child,
once full of dreams,
lowered in the ground,
his body, bullet reamed,
stop the heartache,
stop the badness,
children are dying,
stop the madness.
