A Letter to a Sweetheart
Who would've expected what gifts Christmas brought...?
To my surprise, I discovered
yet another beautiful heaven-made creature.
One smile you gave, and my heart fluttered.
What you didn't realize that day you met me
is that just by that one small conversation,
you gave me a lasting impression.
Once again, I found myself smitten
because of a first glance vision.
One thing led to another, I found out more about you,
and I saw the personality that came with such an amazing face.
I learned to put off all flaws,
and observe such a nice and kind person inside your heart.
To my disappointment, that heart is taken by another already.
What were such exciting feelings became such terrible feelings.
She loves you, and you love her, and I'm not one to ruin happiness.
I care about you so much that I do want you to live a blissed life.
So don't take this the wrong way,
but I don't think I could handle being near you...
and it's not because I despise you,
but it is because I adore you.
I believe that if you and I are meant to be,
God will bring us together somehow along the way.
God is righteous, and He won't let love go astray.
Keeping that in mind, I will do one last thing.
I want to thank you for your existence...
because of you, once again I learned to love after so long.
I wish you a great love with whomever your soulmate is.
I pray that God will give you the sweetest companion
for the days of your life.
Now every time Christmas comes,
I will remember that once I met a special friend
at that special time of the year.
