Grandpa's Girl

By: Hilary Anne

There was joy the day you were born
You were so tiny to hold
There was love in grandpa's eyes
As he held you close.

You were his pride and joy
A grandbaby he thought he'd not see
As he sat and rocked you
I can hear him saying to me.

"Here's my little pumkin
See her sweet smile
I'm so glad I could see her
If just for a while."

I wish he could be here
To see how you've grown
But he's watching from heaven
Where God called him home.
