Dear Mother

By: Melly Dawn Nienhuis

How lovely you were,
How lovely you must be.
Could you really be different?
Never if you could, would you change,
Would you?

You now watch over me,
Your powerful shadow watches.
Your feeling within me,
Stoping my crying for now,
But will it last?

Someday my sadness will become a flood,
A flood of pain within tears.
Mever, now I know, would you change.
You watch over us, saying don't worry.
You know that someday my tears will come.
If you had stayed you would be the same.
If you stayed you could never stop the evil.

But even if you left,
I will forever,
Love you,
With my heart and all,
Never will I stop,
My Lovely Mother.
