The Way Things Used To Be
The way things used to be~
Things used to be so confusing and hard
but then there were the times when you didn't have to worry so much
people didn't take things to such a high level
they just sat there and and helped each other through
now that we know more... we think that we can do whatever we want
we don't think of consequences or worry about other's feelings
we used to be a group of friends that nothing could split
now we all have grown apart in so many different ways
you only pay attention to the people who you think
will make you "cool" or give you a spot at their table
until that one day comes when they are gone and you think about
all the good friends that you just let slip away.
people don't let all your best friends get away and only hang
with people who look good and that can make you popular
just because someone can make you "popular" does not mean
that they really care who you are.
your good friend likes you for you not because
you got in the "popular group"
one day those popular people won't like you anymore
but then when you turn around and look at your old friends
you don't like yourself anymore either.
Take this as a lesson and enjoy this poem.
