Teddy Bear Love
When I was young I had a teddy bear,
Everyone has one,
I held mine with close care,
Together we had soo much fun.
I lay with it at night and cuddled,
Everywhere I went it was with me,
My friend,
The caring I could see.
We were never apart,
I grasped it tight,
This teddy bear had a warm spot in my heart,
This treasure was never out of sight.
As all things do ... This teddy got old,
The nose was worn,
"You have to throw that out." I was told,
The teddy was ripped and torn.
It proceeded to be a sad day,
I cared soo much,
Speechless ... Not a thing I could say,
I lost touch.
Years had passed,
An arrival of a new face,
So the teddy bear did not last,
She is a different case,
Young was I when she came into my thoughts and I dreamed of her,
Sooner or later she would arrive,
Beautiful ... But no fur,
This time it is true and alive.
To have my heart,
To hold forever tight,
Never separated apart,
Holding on to you at night.
Carrying you around in my mind,
Anywhere I go,
Without your presence ... I am blind,
First sight of you left me slow.
Forever thankful and filled with joy,
This heart I lend,
After all I am your boy,
Take care ... this is far from pretend.
Maybe the outside will change,
I will always love this teddy bear,
So it is a little strange,
No teddy bear ... But I really care,
I let go of anything needed in the past,
you are precious,
this will last,
You are all I need.
You are a gift,
You came into my lie,
My spirit you lift,
I love you!
