How could you have left

By: Bilynda Eden Anderson

I sit here holding our baby
Holding our baby oh so tight
Wondering if you will ever come back, maybe
But probably not tonight,
For how could you have left me,
To fend for myself, here all alone,
I am only all but eighteen,
You must have a heart made of stone
We layed down together
We built this child together
But I am to raise it by myself
How could you not even take the time to know him
He has your eyes and your smile
But one thing that he doesn't have is you
