Sweet Dreams
I lay here upon my soft bed,
a place of comfort and warmth,
thinking of you.
As I lay here and think,
I start to close my eyes slowly,
and begin to dream. I dream of you
and me together. I dream about
seeing you, touching you,
and lightly kissing you on your cheek.
Happiness enters my mind
and all evil perishes
back where it belongs,
in the dark.
I continue to dream my sweet dreams.
You are lying next to me, your hand in mine.
You slowly unlock your hand
and place it on my cheek.
Although you are not here,
I feel your presence and touch.
My cheek becomes warm
and my heart begins to race.
Your touch sends a chill through my body.
I picture you slowly leaning my way,
and I wet my lips with eagerness.
We kiss softly. I feel your arms wrap
around my waist as we lay there and cuddle.
Now, I slowly open my eyes, and the dream fades.
But I know that wherever you are,
this is true love that I feel.
And someday, we will be together.
Together Forever.
