Through the eyes that I see,
will we ever be what we once were,
as I pet the fur,
on my cat,
I take off your hat,
I kiss your head,
to sooth the pain,
that you have gained,
from me,
as you can see,
we grew apart,
from each other,
you were my lover,
you were the only one,
that ever cared,
when everyone else was just scared,
that ever loved me,
when everyone else couldn't see,
that ever listened,
when everyone just turned deaf,
you never left,
so, as I sit here writing this letter,
I'm feeling better,
because I know you will take me back.
