WHERE ARE YOU
When I'm alone at night
and the darkness surrounds me,
I close my eyes and
it's your face I see.
I wonder where you are
are you at home?
If you aren't
then are you alone?
Could you be somewhere
holding someone else in bed?
These are the thoughts
that go through my head.
If you are with someone
do I ever cross your mind?
I cannot believe
you could be so unkind.
Do you hold her in your arms
saying the things that I need to hear,
the simple little words
that would relieve all my fear?
If she does exist
and you do share her bed,
I can never believe
a word that you've said.
