I Hope You Know I Love You

Although we have not seen one another
in such a long time,
I feel I am close to you,
you are a favorite aunt of mine.
I wish I could have seen you,
before you went away.
I will miss you forever, until my death,
that very day.
I had so much fun with you,
I know you had fun with me, too.
We would run and laugh and swim and play,
when we were together, everything went the right way.
I hope you know I love you,
if you don't, I am telling you now, I do.
I wish I could have told you,
before you had to pass on through.
