Nebulas and Novas

By: James Walters

Somedays I can fathom
Comets' tails and wind;
Nebulas and novas,
Angels on a pin;
Genies granting wishes,
Fortunes being told;

Heaven showing glimpses,
Children growing old;
Symphonies and emeralds,
Snow and autumn's leaves;
Blossoms, wine and kisses,
Dreams and memories;
Miracles and potions,
Tragedies and fear;
Tears begot by laughter,
Smiles begot by tears.
But I cannot fathom
How it came to be
Love beyond my merit
Was divined on me.
