unconscious trickery

By: kirsten aurora vasser

You touched me - deep -
in places that I never knew
and I always dreamed about.

You knew me like none before,
and I freely gave of myself
to your tendencies & pleasures.

It is only now, in your absence,
that I realize what a mistake
I made in presenting my all to you.

It truly was no fault of yours,
you pleaded "no contest" even before
the court was in session.

I have no one to blame except myself,
and I do not release responsibility
from this act of unconscious trickery.
