My Water

i sit where the grass lays on the soil
just waiting for you
like the grass waits to be watered
i know you will come sooner or later
like the grass knows it's going to rain
when you come i will be so happy to live another day
like the grass after it rains
the grass doesn't die
i need you in my life
like the grass needs to be watered
let me be the grass
and you the water
for i need you flowing through me
like the water flows through the grass to the roots
you flow through me and into my heart
where i will never forget you
like grass will never forget the water that goes to it's roots
