Friendship Lost
In the twilight's shine and the moonlight's glow,
Two friends will meet and they soon will know;
Eyes straining to see what the other's spirit may show,
Praying against fortune's past, that a love might grow.
Stealing a kiss by the moonbeam's glare,
Their shadows dancing as only they two share;
A lover's tryst, they both are aware,
May well leave their souls to the fates stark and bare.
Giving and taking for their pleasures plead,
Fulfilling the hunger and planting a seed,
The moonlit sky fills with such joyous greed,
As the lovers join to fulfill their lingering needs.
Friendship lost in the blink of an eye,
Never to return, yet never to die;
Kiss my lover and by her lie,
Watching our moonbeams cross in the sky.
