Still Night
As I lay there, sleeping soundly
I felt a sudden chill,
I rolled over to hold you close
But, as before, you were gone.
The night is still.
I turned back over, closing my eyes
Only to hope I would awaken from my dream,
But things weren't any different
For again, I awake crying.
Again, I am empty.
Every night I dream this dream
And every night it ends the same.
Tonight will be the last time.
Tonight will be the last time I turn to hold you
And find you gone
Tonight,I will be strong.
