We started off the best of friends,
We ended up as enemies,
I thought I loved you,
But, it was the fool in me,
Lots of people said we were the perfect pair,
But, more than half the time,
You didn't even notice I was there,
It was so hard for me to say good-bye,
But, I couldn't live like that,
I had to swallow my pride,
You say I can't see the changes you made?
All I ever wanted was for things to stay the same.
If I could go back in time, and change "MY" mistakes, I would,
You can't even admit yours, during the times you should,
I hope one day soon you'll come runnin' back my way,
The same old man I knew once... some days,
