Denial
I'll never be the same again.
A phrase that causes me such pain.
We cannot wipe away the past;
The memories do not fade that fast.
I know I've said I've let you go.
I know deep down that isn't so.
I can't explain, it hurts so much;
Denying feelings that are such.
A part of my life every day
Too hard to verbalise and say.
Now you're gone, you are no more.
You've walked away, and closed the door.
