Can I walk beside the footprints you make
if I say that I too have cried?
Let me carry you on my back
so that you never get tired again.
Allow me to take hold of your hand,
let me see where the trouble begins.
Can you share with me the pain
that you have felt so many times?
So I’ll know by experience
how to make up for all those crimes.
Will you let me in on the beauty
that I see there in your soul?
Will I ever touch your hand?
Could I ever be so bold?
You show me pieces of your life
and most of them have been wrong.
I know your looking for something else.
Something you've needed for so long.
