Garden

By: Daydred Easton

I walk in the garden
with flowers galore.
You look across
with eyes I adore.

Thinking of you still
walking on cobble stone.
A snowflake slowly falls
and melts all alone.

Another star falls on your cheek
as you step over an emerald creek.

A kiss is blown in my direction
showing me your love and affection.
You look so perfect under the scattered sun.
I think to myself "Am I really the one?"

The rays bounce playfully off your skin
as a greater love is revealed within.
Not just the love you hold for me;
but the love I hold in return.

Nothing can break this bond between us.
For all time this candle will burn.

I love you more than the cold wind
that wantingly touches your face;
and more than the fading shadow
that helplessly mocks your ways.

All the flowers in this garden
bend as you glide by.
Even without eyes they plainly see
that you are a princess deep inside.

As we finally join hands
I whisper over your way.
I tell you I love you
and you look beautiful today.
