Magic
Life is a mass of mystery,
Guided by chance and consequence,
Trying as hard to be,
And make, at least a scintilla of sense.
Life is mixed with joy and passion.
All the best of those coming from that Magic.
Consumed by the planet's lack of compassion,
And a sense that life is sometimes tragic.
One tries so hard to be the best
In this life of mystery and consequence.
But for what, I do atest?
I know not, without that magical princess.
Drive, passion and goals are shallow,
Without the sin qua non of my happiness.
I feel so hollow,
Without you, my loveliness.
My dear girl, you are my everything;
My dreams, my goals, my passion, and my heart.
This magic that has guided me so many times:
It is you, my darling Jackie.
