Unfortunatly Love

By: Shannon Lee Graham

I told you I loved you,
I was true from the start.
I told you I cared,
I told you this from my heart.

My heart trused you
and the loving words you said.
You broke my heart so true,
and now our love has fled.

Fled to a far away land,
where it can never be retrieved.
Only a few words can I say,
it should of never been concieved.

Our love was nice when you wanted it to be,
I don't know what I saw.
You lied to me and felt shameless,
I don't know what happended to my dreams.

My dreams to spend life eternal with you,
this promise I kept
but of course not you.
And now my eyes have wept.

You did this to me,
and you don't even care.
I just want you to see,
because my love for you was rare.

It was a love I never gave
anyone but you.
I know you didn't care,
and now my eyes cry true.

Unfortunatly I gave you my love,
and you abused it.
My heart mourns of pain
and only you are to gain.

Gain the pleasure of my heart
that I unfortunatly gave from the start.
Then the pleasure of breaking it
and you don't even care one bit.

You are not a real man,
for what you did to me.
All I can do,
is to make you see.

How sorry I am for even knowing you,
you took up a whole two years of my time,
and now you're gone
as fast as you came, too.

Unfortunatly I gave you
what you were here for.
I hope you're happy.
And now I say this once more,
UNFORTUNATLY IT WAS LOVE.
