My Mother
Over the years I've noticed that you, my mother,
have always been by my side,
To love me, care for me, even just sit and talk to me
when you could tell I'd cried.
No matter what I have done or will do,
I know the one place I can go
for loving support, or help, is to you.
As my mother I'm sure I have made you upset or mad.
I want to apologize now for everything, because
seeing you like that makes me so sad.
I want to wish you a great day and future, from now on.
And I want you to know my love for you
is as deep and vivid as the sun
at the break of dawn.
