i believed all was good
that i was loved
and was in love
that was not proved
until you were gone.

the pain
crushing
ripping out my heart

the tears
like tiny rivers
flowing down my face

into an ocean of emptiness

i never knew what love was
before i had you
and now that i know
i never want to be in love again

i can't stand the pain
