Sleep's Kiss

By: Steven Mather

With daily toil at last complete,
slip softly now beneath the sheet.

Pillow down your lovely head.
Float gently, warm upon your bed.

But as your eyes close sleepily,
please turn your darling face to me,

so I may steal a final kiss,
before you enter sleep's abyss.
